Haydock winner in great shape

Malko De Beaumont is likely to have at least one more race before the Eider Chase at Newcastle in February. Trainer Alan Brown reports the eight-year-old to be A1 following his victory in the Tommy Whittle Chase at Haydock on Saturday. "You wouldn't have thought he'd been in a race. He ate up last night and was as bright as a button this morning, I couldn't be more pleased with him," said the Malton handler.
